Basic EKG Interpretation – (32 CE hours)

This program is a self paced online video-mediated course that is intended to teach the student the skills necessary to accurately interpret three-lead EKGs.

Participants will watch a series of video presentations and will complete corresponding assignments and take a series of quizzes.

Course content consists of cardiac anatomy and physiology, electrophysiology and interpretation of sinus, atrial, and junctional rhythms.

Additional content includes interpretation of heart blocks and ventricular rhythms, as well as applicable interventions. Additionally, the student will be introduced to 12-lead EKGs and patterns consistent with acute coronary syndrome.

Advanced EKG Interpretation – (20 CE hours)
$150.00 (e-Text Included)

This program is an online EKG course that is intended for the student who has completed a basic EKG course or has a working knowledge of the basic EKG.   The student will observe an introductory lecture on the various topics, followed by completion of exercises designed to help reinforce the subject material.

Course topics include lead placement for the 12 and 15-lead EKGs, electrical axis and deviations, enhanced acute coronary syndrome and location identification.

Also built-in are bifasicular and hemiblocks, ventricular hypertrophy, supraventricular and ventricular tachycardias and rhythm patterns consistent with preexcitation syndromes.

This course is designed for both basic and advanced prehospital providers, as well as for other allied health professionals.  Course topics include: reproductive anatomy and physiology, maternal and fetal development and changes, gestational complications  of each trimester and the normal childbirth.

Additional topics include: recognition and management of the complicated delivery as well as caring for the well baby and infant in demise.
